Flat Stanley at the Birth Place of PEPSI-COLA

Our Grandson Evan and his classmates, from Heaven Sent Nursery School in Hackettstown New Jersey, sent Flat Stanley to visit us here in New Bern, North Carolina. We took him to visit the original corner pharmacy & soda fountain where Pepsi-Cola was invented.  It was first called 'Brad's Drink' after the founder Caleb Bradham in 1898.  Stanley sat on the original counter and had a Pepsi.
We then took him down the street to the Tryon Palace, which was the Governor's Mansion when New Bern was the Capital of North Carolina (before Raleigh).
We had such a good time with Flat Stanley.  Hope he visits again.
Thanks,
Joe & Martha Kelly
