Image processors of the Astrogeology Team, United States Geological Survey, Flagstaff, Arizona, were asked by Flagstaff, Arizona teacher Ms. Mary Lara and her third grade class at  Manuel DeMiguel School to generate computer images of Flat Stanley on an imagined trip to the Moon.  Using real Moon imagery photographed by the Apollo astronauts, computer techniques added Flat Stanley to the scene.

Created at the United States Geological Survey in Flagstaff, AZ

Computer programs also produced the 3D versions of the pictures of Flat Stanley’s adventure; please put the red lens on your left eye.

Thank you for supporting the Flat Stanley Project.
